With members in more than 125 countries around the world, Vimeo is truly a global community. And today we’re taking a big step to speak to more people in their native slang by launching Vimeo in our second most popular language: Spanish!
We spent a lot of time carefully translating all the nooks and crannies of Vimeo, and we think it looks pretty cosmopolitan in its new Castilian version. Spanish-speaking Vimeo members from countries including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Spain contributed to the translation effort, and we are eternally grateful for their linguistic guidance.
To see Vimeo in Spanish, use the language selector on the bottom of any Vimeo page. There’s also a language option in your account settings, and, if your Internet browser is set to Spanish, we’ll automatically switch you to Vimeo in Spanish. (Yes, you can flip to English at any time.)
Spanish is just the beginning, of course. We’re working to make Vimeo available in lots of languages, with French and German next in line. And speaking of Eurozone countries, Vimeo now accepts payment in Euros — you can purchase Vimeo Plus and Vimeo PRO using €’s instead of $’s. Huzzah!
